We attract painful situations using our subconscious mind. To use your example of a woman in an abusive relationship, of course a woman consciously thinks, “I want a kind and caring partner” but as a child she learned that she wasn’t good enough, and as a result her subconscious mind now believes she doesn’t deserve a loving relationship. The subconscious mind thinks that love comes from people who don’t love and appreciate her, and her abusive partner reflects all of the limiting beliefs she holds about herself. Lets also not forget that this relationship did not simply fall into the woman’s lap– she agreed to go on the date. She agreed to be in a relationship with this person. And after the person began to behave abusively — through words or actions, the woman had a choice to immediately leave the situation, or to stay in it. If she doesn’t leave, then every moment she stays she is actively creating that abusive situation in her life. None of us are victims even though it appears that way on the surface, to upgrade to a better state of existence we simply need to find and question those beliefs that are holding us back and stopping us from attracting what we truly desire. Sometimes this can take years of therapy, or just a few minutes. It depends on how open and willing we are to see ourselves as we really are, it can be very upsetting to face our deepest wounds and admit how we hurt and damage other people in response to our inner pain. But in my experience, when we do finally let go of our subconscious blueprints that create the world around us, good fortune flows effortlessly. It’s amazing how available everything is to us, we just can’t see it while we’re living our lives in our little boxes we created for ourselves as young children,
Ask a good question. Noah St. John offers afformations in place of affirmations, such as: “How did I get so rich?” or “Where is all this money coming from?” Also powerful is the version from Access Consciousness: “How does it get any better than this?” Just asking the question shifts the energy – don't worry about answering it yourself. That's Universe's job. Or consider Abraham's “Wouldn't it be nice if … ?“ where you complete the question with different versions representing abundance. As in, “Wouldn't it be nice if I got a surprise bonus this week? Or “Wouldn't it be nice if that bill got handled all by itself?”
2. Excitement - Aligning with the most exciting thing directly affects what occurs in the moment. This also allows what happens in any given moment to actually be a stepping stone towards the most exciting thing. If you want to create your reality consciously according to what you prefer, you must acknowledge the thing that excites you the most. You must clearly define your clear intention or the vision which represents the purposes or general themes in your life. When aligning with that most exciting thing, your moment to moment reality begins to reflect this alignment.
I was just talking to a friend who thinks the law of attraction is a joke….I know for a fact and from my own experience that it is not. One thing that should be added is that it is important to be specific when you ask from the universe. I got everything I asked for, but because I wasn’t specific, it wasn’t exactly what I wanted. Thank you for sharing this important information. You have a very nice site.

Your actions move you towards your desire. While every manifesting situation is different, usually action is a relatively small part of the manifestation process. For example, when I was manifesting the money I needed to pay my car insurance years ago, I didn’t go out and start looking for odd jobs to pay for it. I was sitting at my desk and a telemarketer called. She said, “We are doing product testing in your area. We need some people to come in and test some products. Would you like to do that?” I asked, “How much does it pay?” She said the amount (I forget now how much it was as this happened in 1996 but it was THE EXACT AMOUNT I NEEDED). I said, “I’ll do it!”
For example, you might try keeping a gratitude journal and regularly jotting down benefits you’ve enjoyed because of money you’ve had. You could write “I’m grateful for the money that allowed me to grow up without worrying about whether food would be on the table” or “I’m always grateful for the money that let me have the amazing experience of _____” and “I feel grateful when I think about the money that has permitted me to sleep safely and comfortably each night.”
For me, I find that since I have so much negative momentum on the subject of money itself, the best way to go about it is to find a way to feel really good, which I do through my morning manifestation routine, and then affirm that that feeling is what abundance feels like. By doing this every day, I’m training my thoughts to associate abundance with this great feeling right now, not some far off thing that ‘ll experience when I have money. Does that make sense?

Simply put, money is just a story that someone invented and that took hold. It was decided, that some particular shape of coin, or inlaid metallic object, and piece of paper was worth more than the material it represented. This started out as a thought in someone’s mind. That thought is now commonplace. We now expect that a piece of paper with a certain number on it, with a specific color and other identifying elements, is worth something more than the paper it’s printed on.

I’ve been broke before – and I mean REALLY broke. My lowest point was when I just had around 70 cents (yes, cents) in my purse in order to feed my children for a couple of days. I remember walking around the supermarket wondering how the hell I would make it to the next welfare pay day. I purchased a no-name bag of plain pasta and the kids could eat it for dinner and lunch with some tomato sauce I had in the cupboard. The pain was so embarrassing that I struck a deal with the Universe that I would never allow myself to go there again.
With total freedom, an individual is left free to focus all of their mental energies on what it is that they truly want from life. They are free from the burdens and stress of bills, debts and back-breaking work. Arguably, the biggest excuse used by large numbers of unsatisfied workers is that they are unable to live out their dreams as a result of a lack of cash flow.

For individuals of faith prayer and meditation are important components to searching for what we want, but even with that the specifics are important. Just saying you wan to be rich is not a need. That's a desire. If we are focus too much on the money and not enough on the reasons we won't be able to see the result manifested for us. We have to be clear in our intent and walking purposely in order to be rewarded. Doesn't mean you will be a millionaire, but it does mean that you can live your life without allowing money to be what motivates you.
Coins may be found on the ground while you’re walking around. Bills will sometimes be found on the ground too. Larger sums may manifest in the form of exchanges, business deals, inheritances, inspired action, and other ways. Assume that those larger sums are right in front of your face, staring at you and screaming at you to notice them. You just have to tune your vibe to the right frequency to pick them up.
Plant signs of wealth. Often our environment reflects financial struggle rather than the reality we prefer. Stack the deck in your favor by immersing yourself in signs of wealth that don't actually cost a lot: slip a faux black Amex card in your wallet, put an extra key on your key chain for the summer home, write appointments in your calendar for the meeting with your VIP investment adviser.
